Got a few calls saying they are the IRS.....saying I owe money I told them send it writing so he hung up scrum bags

IRS SCAM!!!!!   First the land line.  Now the cell phone

This is a scam call. I contacted the IRS - my mother works for IRS, so I know how they operate. The IRS WILL NOT CALL YOU unless it has already contacted you multiple times via U.S. Postal mail. Don't fall for these creeps' scam - don't give them any information - and block the number if you can.

Check the following links out about IRS info on what they will and will not do to contact you, and then contact the IRS to send the info you do have about the scammers, plus the time and date of the calls you received. Next, file a complaint with the Internet Crimes division of the FBI (Link below).

I too received a call from these parasites, and they were actually arrogant enough to answer the phone by saying "IRS" but when pressed if they were actually agents for the IRS or were they simply someone trying to "help" me with my tax issues, they stammered a few times and then hung up on me. This is not the first time I have had to deal with people like this, I have received numerous phone calls for my ex-wife (who I divorced over 20 years ago) with a similar pitch about an unpaid loan which was never taken out, threatening arrest etc....All another scam.

Whoever called from this number left a message to call them back. I did and left a message with my number and a man called me back telling me he got the call last week. So somehow they are able to connect his voicemail to that phone number.
