Caller did not leave message, attempted to return call and received a busy signal.

Just got a call from 202-242-5257 No one answered when picked up. I called back only got busy signal. And the kicker is: I recently canceled my credit card.  Never had a call from a scammer before, but have known others who faced this scam scare before. Not gonna give anyone my time of day for telemarketeers or scams of any fashion.

Called at 10.15a CST, a pre-recorded message in which a person identifying herself as "Heather" told me that she represented my credit department (lies, I don't even have a credit card anymore).  There wasn't a problem (well that's good... in imaginary land my credit is good, apparently) but she wanted to be sure I knew I was eligible to upgrade to the next level of credit.  Press 1 to speak to a representative or 2 to discontinue receiving calls.

Done and done.  The next question is which of the 1,000 places that have my phone number profited by selling it to these annoying companies?
