IRS PHISHING SCAM ‼️‼️
Got the call about an hour ago
Auto call message said call back immediately or we will prosecute.
Name given was Julie smith.
Why can't we catch these people??

These thieves are in India, Pakistan, or some other third world country & use Magic Jacks or VOIP to make the calls. They are out of U.S. jurisdiction.
The real IRS mails letters if there is a problem.

Called me with an automated message about calling back or legal action taken. Called back only to get an automated number.
THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!! Told them to take me off the call list

Received an automated message about an hour ago from a Julie Smith on behalf of the IRS. I thought it was suspicious given the fact that I hadn't received anything from the IRS via mail. Based on previous comments, it appears this is a scam and I won't be calling the number back.
