These people stole my data and information from college. I don't even live in that address anymore, and they said they mailed two letters of warning to pay the tax to the IRS, which I've never got. If I don't resolve the issue within 30-40 min they will file a police report, and threaten to arrest and deport me.

They threaten me not to tell anyone, but I called my friend to be next to me to listen to the entire conversation on speaker. As soon as my friend heard the heavy Indian/Pakistani accent she knew it's a scam, because she spoke with the IRS in the past and they never threaten anyone by phone calls and they speak clear English.

When I asked for their names and numbers, send me by mail the letter again or have any documents to be in written format, they would refuse to do so. They insist on having me to go to the bank or atm to get cash. It was very suspicious.

In addition, when I raised my voice that I'll have my lawyer contact them, they refused and need to resolve the issue RIGHT NOW. They started to yell at me, and emotionally abusive. So I asked my friend to dial 911 and I spoke to the police woman and she said beware of the scam that's going all around the country.

These guys have called on two occasions and both times I knew right from the start it was fraudulent. If the heavy Indian/Pakistani voice didn't cause for some concern, the background noise in which you can clearly hear another person speaking about the same situation to someone else should give it away. I played into their supposed scheme about it being a IRS seizure and how they will come to my house and arrest me on the spot.

I told them that I was a part-time sheriff and needed their badge numbers and names. Her name, with a heavy Indian accent was Mary Amy...lol! Nonetheless, when she continued about her badge number, she started to give me numbers and I continued to say yes, yes...and what's the next number until she had told me about 13 numbers! Haha! Then I said that's impossible, I needed the first two letters of the badge number. Then she told me BG. Haha! After that I think she got a little irritated and started getting defensive.

I probably carried this on for another 5 mins until I was just tired of listening her ramble on about how I need to be worried about the police arresting me on my home property and how if I don't make payment that they will come today! I just told the lady I was just playing and that I was tracing the phone call to her location so I could have deputies there to arrest her. She was not happy with this and hung up on me! Hilarious!

They've called me a few times now.  The first time I almost fell for it.  Today (7 Nov 14) they called me several times, after being annoyed, I answered and caller her out on the scam..gave her a few choice words and hung up on her.  I reported the incident to the IRS.

Just got a call from the lady with a heavy Indian Accent. What a waste of my time. She told me there were errors on my taxes and that I was going to be arrested today and detained for 72 hrs. I asked her to verify my social security number if she was from the IRS and she could not. I then googled her number and saw this posting so I gave her my 2 cents and hung up. Rediculous.

I just received the same call from 202-241-8669 and then she called me back on 202-241-8680 because her phone was too staticky and had too much background noise. This lady gave me a case ID number then started telling me about issuing a warrant for my arrest. When I asked to speak with her supervisor and get more info from her, she started to raise her voice telling me that it was a recorded line and that she was going to send a police to arrest me in the next few hours. She was rude, kept talking over me, and could not tell me any info on me that an IRS person should have. Anyway, after Googling the phone number and coming across this post, I told her to go f* herself and just hung up. I am going to report this call to TIGTA as well.
