I agree that people should do more research as well as use common sense, but there is no need for you to be rude and insulting. Unfortunately, some people are just gullible. You can give advice and offer your opinion but I'm sure whoever has fallen for this is feeling bad enough-your insensitivity and belittling doesn't help the situation, in fact, you're probably making it worse.
