They called my mo saying she won a grant and kept asking to send money then we will recieve it , we did  and never received it ...total scam

I received a call from Ajit Singh (202-241-1297 ext 1123) that I have been eligible to receive $8999 grants money and they need my Bank a/c number to transfer the money or I buy a PO from walmart or kmart and send them detail then they will send me the check. I asked for details he gave me his number with ext, address as below and the website www.grantsamerica.gov  Either the website address is incorrect or its fake.  Why would Health & Human Services will give $8999 on random survey and if they need they can send us the check why they need Bank A/c info.  Not sure if this is true or scam.

received called from "Ajit" asking for my wife. Upon asking who he is and what he is calling about he replies "i am her friend". when i hand the ph to my wife - he never speaks and disconnects.
complete fraud - beware of this guy.

please go ahead and file a complain about these guys with Federal Trade Commission (FTC). It takes only 5 minutes online.
