When we talked to the scammer, my husband and I thought there were allah prayer calls in the background. Wherever they are, these Islamic people are monkeys of violence and scams.

What does Islam have to do with calls of this nature trying to steal information? Have you heard prayers of different religions at all? Do you think it's fair to assume that you heard someone praying? It is unnecessary to associate those of Islamic beliefs with violence, or to refer to them as animals. It is offensive to refer to any individual, foreign to the U.S. or not, as anything other than person with a religious belief. There's bad people everywhere and a shame that so many will be falsely accused of sharing extremist views, which is untrue. Just because someone is different than you, doesn't make them a monster. Please stop being a part of a society that lumps all good individuals in with the bad.

I suspect that most of the scam calls from India are made by Hindus.

80% of these are from India..   There are articles all over the internet along with voice tests.  They are known also to use voice masking or attempt to - its very laughable. The one I messed with a few month's back sounded like he was 20,000 leagues under the sea.
