I received a phone call yesterday they left a voice mail claiming to be the IRS and the message sounded really weird, could barely understand it. Scared the crap out of me. I called number back and they said is this my name, and I said yeah, and they said there has been a lawsuit filed against me for tax fraud, and i said how can that be i do not work asked me my age, and i said i don't work....then they said you have nothing to worry about and hung up. They called me last month off and on didn't leave a message, then when I would answer they would be quiet. So I contacted my phone company and they told me about an app to download which I did, and blocked them. They call but it automatically hangs up on them. So glad i done it. Ive already filed a complaint through my phone app, and I am going to call my phone provider and speak to a supervisor so they are aware of the situation and find out if anyone else has called it into them, then maybe they can get these people stopped. They did not get anything personal from me, they never would. I done research and honestly it states on IRS website they will not contact you by phone, they will mail you a letter. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. ITS A SCAM....Also they are all foreign, their English sounds broken. Someone needs to stop them.
