Voice message from Washington DC (202-239-0044). Length: 58 seconds
"Hi this urgent message is for [previous user's name of my phone number]. This is federal officer John Brown calling you from bureau of criminal investigation Department. The reason for my call is that we have received a non-bailable arrest warrant on your name and on your social security number. So I need your urgent call back on my department number 202-239-0044. Now that fail to call me back on my department number, I forced to send your local police officer at your mailing address and at your place of employment to get your arrest. So don't disregard this message and call me back on my department number 202-239-0044. Until then, thank you and have a great day!"
These type of scam calls from India come in using various U.S. phone numbers sporatically, due to the previous owner of my current phone number having had past financial problems. I've tried telling the callers the guy no longer is associated with our phone number, but it makes no difference.
