I got a call at 11:43 central time and it was a machine saying that it was the IRS and that they were doing a lawsuit and if I wanted more info (hanged up by then) pretty sure it was a lie

Also got a call about 2:00 central time today from IRS claiming to file a lawsuit and that I needed to call a number for more info, also pretty sure it was a scam when I called the number back it (was not in service)

i got a call from this number at 4:00 pm. said irs was fileing a lawsuit....hahaha. bs!

same story here, a female voice telling me the IRS was filing a lawsuit? wtf

Its a scam, and its all over this board.  The caller will give you a chance to pay your way out of that lawsuit, but you have to send money right.this.second by Western Union, Green Dot (both wire transfers that go through immediately) or buy giving him a credit card number.  The scammer will take the money and vanish.

The IRS does not call,  All IRS communication is by US Post Office.
