What a scam! When a heavily accented individual called me on an unidentified number, saying they were from the US defense department, I couldn't help myself: I just laughed! When I asked if he had any more lies to tell me, he hung up.

Good for you! Maybe they will themselves take your number off their harrassment list.
My husband & I feel bad for folks with measured mobile phone service who do not pay for unlimited time.

Ha! He told me he was from the United States Government Grant Department. I had to make him say it twice and then questioned the "Grant" part. When I said OK, he launched into another spiel which I couldn't understand, something about $9000 that I don't have to pay back. I told him I didn't believe him and to put me on their "do not call" list. But I think he had already hung up.
