Huge scam block or ignore this number right away

This number keeps calling me and it says unknown. They never leave a message.

I gat a call from 1-202-154-8755. A man who sounded like he was from India told me I was dew a free government grant of $9,000. Gave me an I'd code and verification phone #. I called it and a man with an Irish sounding accent told me the details. Everything sounded on the level until he said he needed the ATM I'd number that I would be using. The final flag was when he said I would have to pay a re-founable fee of $250. That is when I told him that I don't have that kind of money and will not barrow it and I need to hang up. And I hung up. If I had it to loose I might test them just to see if this is honest. It would be my luck for them to take my $250 and I get nothing back. I have been scammed before. I refuse to be scammed again!!!

Some random person calling to tell you you're due free money and you thought it was on the level?! You say you've been scammed before so I would think that would make you more cautious about this sort of thing. Lucky you didn't have the money to lose because you definitely would have lost it! Grants are applied for, not just given away for being a good citizen or paying your taxes on time or whatever other lie they come up with.
