First off, The caller did not speak English very well and sounded like he was reading from a script. He asked for me by name so i figured it was a legitimate call so i didn't hang up (Seeing i know it was a very FAKE number (202)011-0001)). He stated my phone number was selected by the U.S. Government to receive $8,000.00 that I would never have to pay back (Yeah right you cant make me believe that crock of mess) If he said the U.S. Government wants me to pay $8k to them would have been more believable. Then he went on to say only 1500 people are selected each year for this program. At this point I know he was about to start asking me for my information. So as soon as he started asking me for my information i stated the government already has all of my info and you should have all you need in front of you seeing that you called me. He went on to say "I need to verify the info" (Yeah right so I'm thinking to myself. So me being me i figured I'm going to screw with this guy and make him hang up and never call me again). So I stopped him mid sentence and said Mr. whats your name? He said "Amed". I said I'm going to need some info from you so i can verify who you are and where you are calling from just to be on the safe side. He said "that not necessary". I told him sure it is. I need your full name as stated or your social security card, date of birth, birth location, mothers maiden name and Social security number so i can check you out also this call is being recorded. He said i just need to verify your information. I said sure as soon as i verify yours seeing I work in the FBI I can get it pretty quick. No i don't work for the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) your thinking of i work in the "FBI" Freight and Boxing Industry lol. He didn't ask what the FBI abbreviation stood for so i didn't mention it. So then i said if you dont want to verify your information you can just send me a check to the mailing address you have in your files or let me speak to your manager while im trying to pinpoint your location. So just as I figured hung up on me LMAO. So i hope you found this as entertaining as i have. Just remember to watch out for scammers. If it sound to good to be true then it is. Just remember these people are trying to scam you and if you come up with some super BS and sale it to them like they are trying to sale the scam to you they are more likely to leave you alone. If not you can have fun screwing with them while you are on lunch.
