I just received a call from this number. They said " Hi, this is Jon from Horizon calling on a recorded line, can you hear me ok?" I was distracted at work and said yes. I hope that it doesn't screw me over! I called the number back and said that he had just called me. He then said "are you still interested in furthering your education?" I said that I was unsure as it was something I would have to think about further.  He said " ok then....." then hung up. Truly this was that hello scam and that I'm now targeted. Not sure what I can do to protect myself.

The number on caller ID was 360-558-7490.  I called after having made the mistake of saying YES to the question Can you hear me---a mistake,  I worry not about someone misusing my yes to scam me by recording it as an acknowledgement of a purchase.  So, beware, as you can see others had a similar call.

just got a call from this  number thanks to this search area I didn't answer when and looked up this number to find out another scam I am so sick of these scams going to my cell phone. I have now blocked this number on my cell phone call id says from NJ area 201-882-4393

Be very careful with these calls they record your voice saying "yes"  they will ask if you can hear me? Most people will say yes..as in yes I can here you and then they hang up.They will then use this recording of you saying "yes" later for a item you never purchased but they will play recording of you saying yes- they edit your voice into a recording of a fake purchase.

This does look like one of these scams where they try to get you to say yes. I responded by blocking them immediately.
