Got this call today exactly as described above. Very strong accent. Seemed disappointed that I did not believe him. =) Hung up.

Have received these types of calls for years, I start messing with the caller immediately telling them that I'm aware that it is just a con. The ones that stick to it long enough will be asked "Does your family know you're a thief?" That has always produced a hang up. Won't stop the calls, but at least it shares the aggravation of the call with the caller.

Exactly as you described it. The caller sounded annoyed with me that I didn't seemed worried enough! Ha
