There was no caller ID (Private). He left a message to call David Williams back at this number. I picked up before he hung up. When asked, he said his name was Mike Taylor. He said my wife had won $2M and only needed to send $900 through Walmart (non-refundable of course) to cover the taxes involved. I asked his company name and address: National Awards Commission, 21 5th Ave, NY, NY 95070. The address of 21 in nonexistent on 5th Ave. The ZIP is for Saratoga, CA and the phone number is from Kearny, NJ. When I told him that large awards like that are required to withhold the taxes prior to making the award and deduct it from the award itself, he hung up on me.

this call came in when I was not at home.  The caller identified himself as David Williams and repeated the number several times. He also stated that this number is for the claims division and that UPS would be delivering something to my home.  I have had several phony phone calls and is on guard.

I wish something could be done about these phony calls.
