This company is using a newish and efficient call center dialing system. While they are on the phone with a potential client, the dialer calls the next number on the list to save the time. I did check into federal grants and they claim to send out the package to apply. All they ask for is the cost of the shipping. If I don't get the forms and/or once I do, I will add another note. You don't have to have looked into a grant as they have they have outbound potential prospects for grants of all types. I am looking for an educational MBA grant for school. I know that there is a ton of money set aside for educations left unused as know one knows how to get it. They also have grants for minorities, retraining, opening small business, etc. So, if I don't get my packet and it is fraudulant, I will advise. I am also protected by my credit card against fraud. No ss# or anything personal. Plus, I never dialed the number back for fear of a scam I just happened to hang on and a person answered in a reasonable amount of time. Thus far, it appears to be legit as I know call center technology. There are the easy alls - people inquired about a grant and a cold call list. So, they may not have the technology to remove you from the list but if you applied for a job and accidently clicked on the button that asked if you are interested in furthering your education, or ordered something online line whereby they, in fine print, you click a button whereby they can sell or give your info out to other companies that they are associated with, which is easy to do, that is why you are getting the calls and it is legal. I will keep you posted. CAM
