Call from 201-619-2222
Caller ID says from NJ. I Answered "hello". Long pause. I again asked "Hello whos calling?" they asked to speak with a name not at this number. I asked "how did you get this number"? and they responded "why would you ask if you answered the call, are trying to get information from me and creating a scam? and immediately hung up.  Note they asked if I was trying to scam them and it was they who called????

Called while I was at work and unable to answer. Tried to call back when I got home and the number said "not in service". Blocked.

Just saw this number on my missed calls list.  Came to this site and found the answer I was expecting.  These types of calls have really escalated the past several months!

ANOTHER SCAM TO BE AWARE OF:
I've started receiving phony SWEEPSTAKES entries in the MAIL.  They look very professional and legit, but in addition to the report from another online forum, great advice was given.  First, BEWARE if the only listed address is a
P. O. BOX.  Second, RUN

Can you scan or photograph those phony sweepstakes offers and post the images to a photo-sharing website?
Remember to cover any information that identifies you, like name and address, or use a dark black marker to blot it out.
If you have a Yahoo email address, you also have a Flickr account.
I don't have a Google email so I don't know what Google offers.

Weird call.  Rang once, paused, then I heard a brief screech sound, then my phone showed line in use and I was the only one in the house & I had not touched the phone at all... Then it sounded like someone hung up a phone.  Too creepy!!  No one is safe from technology and that is the real scary part!!
