The same thing here.  I asked if I could take a message and they hung up.  I called back and there was a mail box.  They called again while I was out (two hours later) and they had a "This is not a valid number please hang up and try again" message on the answering machine.  It was not even the phone company message, it was theirs followed by a beep.  I have no patience for people who hang up on me.

Have no idea who called, husband answered the phone they asked for me and when he told them I wasn't home hung up on him.

I contacted someone I know who works for the NSA and asked them to look into the number.  Once I hear I will re-post with the answer
