microsoft windows  noticed from a survey of computers that my drivers are not working properly and making my computer slow because I am getting a lot of stuff downloading that is affecting the performance. Same lady from a noisy call centre called several times because I kept telling her my computer was being repaired.

Microsoft does NOT cold-call people to tell them you have computer problems. This is a very well known scam. No one should touch your computer but you, and the local repair shop. Which is what you've done.
