Just posted sum thing on Craig's list with no picture. Got a text within 2 minutes saying "I'm interested in post,plz text back." I text them back what did u want to know? They then say "Sounds good,will you accept check as payment then after the check has been cashed my mover will pick up". I remember a friend telling me something similiar a few weeks ago about something she lited on there for her gma...so I looked up he area code and saw it was a Jersey #...well then I just looked he whole #up and saw these posts!does anyone know who or what they are getting out of these texts? Are people actually accepting these checks and the checks r bad or r they coming to your house??? Scary!

Banks will clear the check as a courtesy n then by the time u send the item a week later the check bounces bc it's fake/fraudulent    So by time you actually realize check is bad you've sent merchandise

I posted the item I was selling in CL..  In less of an hour got a response from this number.  The text stated was interested in my item and would send me a Cashiers Check for payment and once the check cleared, would send a shipping company to pick it up. No name or information attached. Not even a, "I would like to see your item first before purchasing.".  Nothing of that nature..   Huh..?   At first it I thought it was too good to be true - but after a few texts back and forth, my six sense kicked in and I called and googled the number.  First of all, it is not a legitimate telephone number and this number is associated as a telemarketer
"allegedly"  Interested in purchasing my item..? Yeah Right...  This is a full scammer... !
When I texted back telling him so...  Caller realized his gig was up...  Don't be fooled and report it as I and the rest of the comments you read did...  BEWARE..!

Posted parts on sale on CL, less then 2 minutes received text from this asking if I would take a check and when it cleared, shipper would come to pick up. Google'd the number and found these complaints. Text'ed back saying no deal. Glad I checked it out.

Same identical situation. He sent me a text asking if I would accept a Bank Check from his Salary Account. Then once it cleared he would have it picked up. I actually agreed to it. But a few minutes later I thought I better Google the number. I am glad I did. I responded back to him sorry - Cash Only. Thanks for the warning everyone!
