Caller ID said Dumont NJ; only message was 'good bye'.  Must be scammer.

called. left no message.

Caller began by telling me they have received error messages from my computer.  I told him (fact) I am a retired computer engineer and I know he's involved in a rip-off and THE POLICE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED.  He said "The Police?" - and I hung up.  HOW DARE THEY TRY TO PULL THIS SCAM!!!  I HAVE A FRIEND WHO WAS VICTIMIZED BY IT - an elderly person who wound up sending money overseas because they told her they were associated with Microsoft.

They tried the same with me this morning - unfortunately I was out and my daughter picked it up, thinking it was her grandmother who lives in NJ.  Fortunately she had the sense not to give any info and hung up when they started in saying they were calling in regards to my problems with Windows (our computers are made by Apple!)

Nothing but an automated, "Good bye".
