It's a text from phone number 9099 (that's what text numbers usually show up as). The text that is written to me says, " customer issue, credit union west service frozen. please call 201 484 8652."

I believe it's some kind of scam, but I haven't called it and don't plan on it either. It's 11:36am Mountain standard time and I received the text at 10:47am.It's a coincidence how many people posted their problem just a few minutes up to an hour earlier than me.

I got the same "Test Message" on my cell phone that came through 10 minutes after I posted an ad on Craigslist.  I'm sure that's where scammers are getting their phone numbers from. Text message said "Customer issue, credit union west service frozen please call 201 484 8652.

I just got the same message. We called from another number with *67, its a recording and asks for your 16-digit credit card number followed by the pound key. There is no operator or anything.
THIS IS A SCAM
