Called and they hung up when answer

My friend got a call and they told her they just stole her husband's phone! She called her husband and he answered and is fine. That's just sick and mean!

They called several times, when I answered they said something unrecognizable in a low voice then hung up. Called back and it rang and then when straight to a voice mail. Seems like some kind of scam , spam .
