Calling about IRS

callers saying there the irs

Caller left a message that said that it was from the IRS and that our address was under state investigation. Also, they said that if we didn't called back quickly, they were going to get our property and bank account.
We looked in New Jersey IRS offices and none has this telephone number.

A person from this number called the number of our relative looking for my partner. When my partner called the number he got a person with a heavy accent who told him he has been cheating on his taxes for years and owes the government money, that bank accounts would be ceased, and the police would be coming to the house. We're not sure how he identified himself and he was very difficult to understand through the accent. We have no idea what this person it talking about - I think it's a scam!

Same person just called me saying im cheating and stolen from irs since 2008.  And the cops were going to come to my house to serve me and arrest me. I called a tax attorney and he said irs does not deal this way. they will send you letters uppon letters for months telling you to pay before they serve you with court papers!!!! He even had my name wrong totally a scam but still report it because obviously someone has your info!
