Same situation here, They called my number twice and gave the same story,  I was kind of taken back thaqt how could my computer download something while I have all kinds of protection.  Anyways, first time i said call me back in five minutes and surely they called back and told me to go into the start menu and run some event manager and there he pointed out few errors, and told me that now i have to go to some site and download some remote access software.  Well, I knew that this call was a hoax, was fraudulent, but when he told me to download a third party software to get access to my computer, that rang a bell and i just told the caller that i will call him back,  He gave me this number.

I would urge people not to fall for this traps as they can hack right into your computer under your nose.


Why would microsoft techs use  New Jersy location number where he told me that he wss calling me from Seattle,!!!!!!!!!

the also told me the same story...when they sent me requests to have access to my pc..i noted down the ID number that wanted to get on my pc = 4995697 the guy told me his name is peter white..i do not trust them..how they get my number iam in canada

Windows do NOT cold call. So anyone saying otherwise is part of the scam. That includes you Peter, you [***]. Now go and crawl back under your rock. Parasite.

P.S. Jim and Peter are obviously the same scammer. The language and 'caller' and 'call type' are identical. How stupid does he think people are?
