I received the same scam above but the number was (201) 335-8381. Had a feeling after i googled the number and saw the complaints about Craigslist and had something listed on Craigslist (imagine that). They started out telling me they were interested in buying (so i responded ok) then this: "Send your Full Name and Mailing info,Will pay with check,pick up will be arranged after the check clears your bank.Please Advise." i told them to move on.

Yup, tried to scam me too from an auction on Craigslist. Called them out on it.  Got awful quiet. So tired of it, just want to legitimately sell my stuff without the BS

Received text from this number in response to a Craigslist item I was trying to sell. Wanted to send me a check with additional money to hold item. When I sent a link to this posting and called them on the scam, still had the nerve to try to convince me to still accept the check.
