many calls; alleged debt agency;  call given number (1.800.414.8319) and put on hold; after 5 minutes I hung up the phone.  Called my phone company (Vonage) and they suggested changing the number.  They cannot block calls yet.  I do not owe anyone anything to be collected.  These are harrassing phone calls and need to be stopped.

These people have called numerous times.  When we answer it is a recording with a phone # and Reference #.  Calling back does no good, nobody knows who these people are when they answer.  Will file a complaint with NJ atty gen.s office to see about putting a stop to this.

We currently have Verizon cell phones and our home phone company is Frontier(formerly Verizon). All bills are current and I am seriously wondering why they are looking for my husband.....he's making an angry call as we speak....

Phone call came in at 6:40pm, but they have tried several times earlier in the day (and previous days).  Very poorly recorded automated message from Palisades Collections leaving the same 800 call back as others have listed.  Didn't say who they were looking for, but I get these calls from different collection agencies ALL THE TIME.  They ask for several different names, but no one who currently lives here (or even has lived here for the past 10-15 or more years).  These collection agencies use a program (not helpful that I've forgotten the name of it, I know) that basically searches public records for any and all phone numbers and names associated with that person (who owes).  Even if the data is 10 or more years old, the collection agencies still use it to try to find the person.  I've tried reasoning with them (other collection companies).  They stop calling for a while then start again.  The last one (Green Tree out of Florida) I told that I was going to report to the Government for harassment and the guy got really ugly.  Not sure if he didn't do something to initiate all these other phone calls.  Until we write our congressmen and ask them to have this practice STOPPED, it will continue.  I don't think they are doing anything illegal (until you tell them not to call back), so I don't see that writing the state's Atty Gen will help.  Go straight to your congressman/woman!!
