Same...missed calls, no message.

One of many deceptive numbers used by Van Ru Collections, collectors of bad student loans and other bottom feeder accounts, in my case this is at least the third time in the past five years these guys have been assigned the same very old account.

I got a call from this number and they identified themselves as Vanru. I have Vanru's # in my cell phone and the always call from an 888  number. But it all sounded like the regular calls from them, and we arranged payments to settle and old debt. I was called from a 847-824-2414 after the first call. Later, my wife tells me that she was contacted by this 201 # asking her for my SS#.

Called and said they were a reference for my family members and needed their information and phone numbers.
