This number calls me several times also. I called this number and it is Dial America. If you want off of their calling list, you have to call their customer service number, 1-800-654-1862, between 11-8 monday-friday. Very annoying.

At first I thought this might be a call from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (aka MADD)...

"A call was recently placed to you from Dial America on behalf of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.  We will attempt to reach you again within the next few days.  If you would like to speak with one of our CSR's please call our customer service department at 1-800-654-1862 between the hours of 8 AM and 11 PM M-F and 10 AM - 6 PM Saturdays EST."

That is what I got when I returned the call, an automated message.  If they are trying to convince me not to drink and drive...don't worry...I don't have a car!  But seriously....unsolicited phone calls is going a bit too far.  They should buy a 30 second commercial placement on ABC or something.  One of the quickest ways to turn me off of a cause is to call my HOME...because that means somehow they got my phone number...and I didn't authorize it.  My only guess is that the phone company is selling my information for their own financial gain.  I shall call them as well.  Better yet I should call Dial America and ask them how they got it, and tell them not to give me that random dial [***].  Unfortunately, MADD is non-profit and thus the DoNotCall rules don't apply to them.

Dial America, a telemarketing firm that gives a spiel about calling on behalf of MADD, asks if you are familiar with MADD, and goes into statistics about drunk driving. All well and good. They are not seeking a donation (of course not), but then proceed to try to sell a magazine subscription from which MADD will get a pathetic 12.5%. Told them, "no thanks, I would rather make a direct donation to MADD if I were inclined to do that." Then the spiel went that buying the subscription would support MADD year round. Sure, at about $0.25 a month. My number is unlisted and I do NOT want calls like this.
