offering gas rebate and health insurance called 5 times before I answered

offering gas rebate I am on the "do not call registry"

Been calling all weekend and now it's Monday. I still haven't answered.  Doesn't leave a message obviously it's not that important.

Called and said I had made a purchase over the weekend and he was doing a follow up call.  Talked about a free gas card, health insurance and I told him to cancel anything that he had to offer.  I am on the do not call list.  Do I need to change my phone number??  Is this a scam????  What have others done??

These people kept calling and calling and when I called back, I received some message re a gas card offer I had qualified for when I purchased something over the phone.  I knew they must have had the wrong person b/c I order everything over the internet.  Well,the calls continued, so I finially answered the phone.  The lady asked for someone I have never heard of and when I told her she had the wrong number, she became very combative and said, "so there is no one in the household by that name?"  I informed her that this was acutally a cell phone and I have never heard of the person she was asking for.  Well, if I though that would stop the calls, I was wrong casue they are STILL CALLING ME!!!!!
