Called @ 13:02 PST on 5/24/16. Called asking for my name, I confirmed who it was me who they were interested in. Proceeded to tell me that 'We are located in the D.C. area in the United States. That your name and [state] number has been linked to earn seven thousand dollars in a grant'. I cut them off and asked why isn't being called from an 800 number. They politely ask me to repeat my statement and I did, and then they hung up. No idea who this is, but they're most likely scammers.
